Sun-N-Fun Water Park Tips

Please note that Sun-N-Fun Lagoon is a family experience, therefore we ask that the appropriate swim attire be worn throughout your visit (i.e., no bathing-suit thongs, please). In addition, children in diapers are required to use waterproof protectors.
In order to guarantee our guests' comfort and safety, Sun-N-Fun Lagoons capacity is limited. Admission into the park may be suspended during the day due to periods of high attendance.

A one-time locker fee gives you a full day's worth of unlimited access. Lockers are $5 per day.
Life vests can be checked out free of charge throughout the park.

Smoking Policy

For the comfort and safety of all of our guests, smoking is only permitted in designated smoking areas outside the park area.

Water Safety

Certified lifeguards supervise water attractions and activities
A first-aid station is available in the main building.

Water Temperature

At Sun-N-Fun Lagoon, the water is as warm as the Gulf of Mexico--actually, warmer. We have a state-of-the-art climate control system that adjusts the water temperature according to the weather so that it's always just right. The water can be heated up to 84 degrees.

Outside Food Policy

Sun-N-Fun Lagoon does not allow any outside food into the park. Picnic areas are located outside of the water park.

Services for Guests with Disabilities

Sun-N-Fun Lagoon is committed to providing a comfortable experience for all of our guests. All rivers and family attractions have lifts available for accesibility. The park has five attractions designed with accesible entrances that do require stair climbing. The stairs are accessible by current ADA guidelines.

Ride Requirements

To ride the slides and go on the high dive guest must be 48" or taller and will be measured at the entrance of the park, at the top of Slide entrance, and before going on high dive. Rules of the rides will be posted at each attraction and must be reviewed and followed by each guest using that particular attraction.

Slide #1(Sea Lion)

Guests must be at least 48" tall. The largest slide and most popular is Sea Lion Slide, which plummets you down on an inner tube into the long lazy river.

Slide #2 (Sting Ray)

Guest must be at least 48" tall. This slide is the fastest and most exhilarating ride in the park. It's a seven second drop to the pool below.

Slide #3 (Manta Ray)

Guest must be at least 48" tall. This slide is the second fastest ride in the park.

Slide #4 (Logger Head)

Guest must be at least 48" tall. This slide is a completely open slide.

Slide #5 (Hammerhead)

Guest must be at least 48" tall. This slide is a half open and half closed slide.

*All slides range, between 220 and 350 linear feet in length.

Sunny's Lazy River

...is 1,250 linear feet and varies between eight and ten feet wide. The river has two circular paths, which vary your travel time between seven or fifteen minutes around the park. To the right you get soaked with buckets of water and soaken areas that will keep you ducking for fun.

Family Falls

...is four feet deep and gives adults and children a chance to bask in the sun with their children in a quieter atmosphere, away from the slides. All ages are welcome.

Turtle Cove

...is the busiest attraction for kids. The area is designated for kids only who are between the ages of five and 12. Turtle Cove floats lily pads in the water with a mesh rope overhead for kids to test their navigation skills. The pool is more like a playground than a regular pool, because of the fountain shooting up into the air and water pistols on the side, where kids can target those splashing around in the pool. Many water parks offer wave pools and general activities, but Sun-N-Fun Lagoon was designed with the goal of keeping children safe, while allowing them to experience fun on their own. The depth of Turtle Cove is three-and-a-half-feet.

Tadpole Pool

Toddlers have a large pool area dedicated to them. The Tadpole pool is less pool and more activities. It has just 18 inches of water so that smaller children are safe with their parents, who are required to be with the children. There are also water dumping buckets, and animals to ride in the water as well as a water worm that squirts water up into the air. This area is for children six years old and younger.

Dolphin Dive & Lap Pool

...is a two in one attraction. The dive area boasts a high three-meter dive and low one-meter dive into a 14 feet pool well. The pool also has two lap lanes for adults, who wish to get some exercise in while their older kids play. There is always a competition between the divers, no matter what time of day you come to the park.
